We use Drupal's internal capability to do analytics.  The following Drupal modules are used

• Browscap: helps statistics ignore webbots.
• Statistics advanced settings: prevent counting people multiple times, e.g. ignores lots of edits on a Newsletter.
• Statistics pro: nicer data presentation.
