Cochlear is a global leader in the research and development, manufacture and marketing of implantable hearing solutions.

Over 25 years, Cochlear has been involved in the research and development of the cochlear implant. Nucleus cochlear implant systems have already restored the hearing of more than 90,000 recipients. A huge unmet clinical need for hearing devices remains as we are implanting less than 10% of the new people we could help each year (incidence).

Today, Cochlear has a 70 per cent share of the global market for cochlear implants, employs more than 1,700 people worldwide and exports to more than 90 countries. Cochlear continues to provide export growth and benefits to the economy through increased employment.
