Steering Committee Sponsors

ESA sponsorship is structured to make Gold Sponsorship and Steering Committee membership accessible to SMEs as well as large firms.  The following section explains how this works.

Members not on the Steering Committee

Sponsorship amounts for Members are given in Table 1 following.

[1] A Gold Sponsor who chooses to be on the Steering Committee may be able to contribute less cash in accordance with section "Members on the Steering Committee" below.

[2] ‘Other’ refers to non-members who may be elected to the Steering Committee as advisors, e.g. representatives of government or industry associations.

Members on the Steering Committee

General Members and Sponsors who are on the Steering Committee are also expected to provide both cash and in-kind support to ESA to the amounts given in Table 2 following. [Note that Silver and Bronze sponsors must first be elected onto the Steering Committee.]

In order to make the Steering Committee more accessible to smaller companies, the minimum cash contribution to be a Gold Sponsor (on the Steering Committee) is based upon a sliding scale (see Table 3) however the ‘Total Cash and In-Kind Contribution’ of $20,000 (Table 2) remains the same for all Gold Sponsors.

Cash Contributions

  • Cash contributions pay for the remainder of the current calendar year 1st Jan to 31st of December.
  • Sponsors who join late in a calendar year may have their sponsorship contribution reduced at the discretion of the Steering Committee.
  • Cash contributions are not refundable.

In-kind Contributions

In-kind contributions can come in several forms including:

  • the professional services of the members employees, contractors and consultants;
  • training and development services; and
  • the provision of administrative and support facilities including laboratory and office access and access to technical and other equipment.

In-kind contributions are expected to be made in good faith for the purposes of furthering the Mission, Goals and Objectives of ESA.

In-kind contributions are valued at approximately market rates (excluding overheads) subject to the discretion of the Steering Committee.
